Ending resentments.
The number one enemy is resentment. By itself, it destroys more alcoholics than anything else. It causes all forms of spiritual disease, because we have not only been sick mentally and physically, but we were also spiritually. When the evil spirit is curbed, we are recovering mentally and physically.
To overcome our resentment, we first compiled the list in writing. We have indicated the names of persons, institutions will and principles against which we were annoyed? We wondered why we were angry. In most cases, we found that our self-esteem, our wallets, our ambitions or our personal relationships (including sex) were hurt or threatened.
