Enough is enough as

Good, or what I am going to bin Garoche now?

You see, it's been a while since ti I lead several projects simultaneously: the young adult novel, short stories for various contests, a command that gave me a headache ...

And then, suddenly, everything seems to just come forward. I received the check in advance of royalties for the young adult novel (thank you Peter:) I sent almost all new contests (yes, yes, Richard, those words for the 1000 s 'come), I finish the corrections on the order ...

short, I'm at the stage where I must choose which project I start, just to begin to cogitate intensely ... But I do not know which to choose! I have a billion ideas, in every genre possible! Too much is like not enough!

I have in mind:
- A new wave SF Workshop Elizabeth (yes, I go back this year ... even after the director read the novel ... I're masochistic! )
- a novella fantastico-religio-not-suro would be action-packed (well, if I can make out)
- a detective novel (whose concept was inspired by reading "The prey of the Shadows "Connolly concurrently Listening to Dexter, season 5)
- a chick lit novel (yes, yes, I know, I have no profile for chick lit, but I think I had a good idea ... )
- after the young adult novel (although the samurai began to get out through the holes in the nose)

Pffff! And there's still only 24 hours in a day ...

solve the problem of fear

one way or another, fear affects all areas of our lives. This is a thread of poor quality and corroding: it gnaws the very fabric of our existence. Fear is often triggered cascade of events that were the cause of evil that we did not have deserved. But did not we, ourselves, puts the shuttle? ***

Solve fear is a problem with two faces. First, we must try to free ourselves as much as possible. On the other hand, we must simultaneously find the courage and grace that enable us to engage constructively with the rest of us fear.

A man or woman who, intellectually, are sufficient unto themselves, many AA members may say, "Yes, we were like you, too smart for our own good. We love that people take us for small miracles. We used our instruction we proudly swell like balloons, while taking care of us hide. Secretly, we felt can glide over one another by our intellectual strength.
Scientific progress teaches us that nothing is impossible for man. Knowledge is all powerful. Intelligence can conquer nature. As we believe we were smarter than most people, the spoils of victory we returned with our reason. The god of intelligence replaced the God of our fathers.
But again, Bacchus had something else in mind. We who had won so easily, we came to lose every time. We found that we had to change our views or perish.

Myth About Itchy Noses

Honey, I want a beer! Autopsy

I have a lot of fun with my boyfriend and his brother. They take so much pleasure in saying the same kind of madness (and often with surprising synchronicity) that I can just laugh with them, even when it's me who is the subject of jokes! (Especially because I know it's not me who is the subject, but rather a kind of fictional character as a wife and stereotyped).

The other night at dinner I get my boyfriend's cousin, his wife and my brother. After dinner, we start playing cards and two fathoms, my boyfriend throws me, his best macho tone: "Honey, I want a beer!" And brother of price increases, in his best caveman voice as "Me" if ".

cousin's wife opens the eyes and hearing them round their spears, offended: "Well then, if you want to have them, j'pense you forgot to say something!"

My brother and my boyfriend looked at each other and I knew what was coming. I was already choked with laughter when they started me in the heart: "Enwèye!"

The head of the cousin and his wife were worth 1000 bucks! Hihihihihihi!

When we had finished laughing, my boyfriend who went to fetch the beers. Anyway! ;)

TOC homosexuality: blame Freud?

(I'm writing a chapter on this topic ... here are some considerations that may interest you loose.)

Even if you do not know the word (homosexual OCD), you probably know thing, because everyone has been touched by its membranous wing at one time or another ...
Everybody or almost everybody, was a day touched by the unpleasant idea that he might have repressed homosexual tendencies.
OCD homosexuality is no more doubt that this multiplied by 100 000.

The relationship with Freud is both obvious and subtle. I do not know if I'll be able to properly explain it to you but I'll try ...

To begin, we must know that OCD of homosexuality did not exist a century ago. Or if it existed, it was rare. In the same way that diabetes appeared with the massive consumption of sugar, OCD of homosexuality has spread along the ideas of Freud. There is a strong link - an unbreakable bond - between the two.

What does Freud? What do we believe all our days, because Freud said so?

1 / That we are all born bisexual. We all have latent homosexual tendencies and / or returned more or less pronounced. In short, our identity as a man or woman, and heterosexual, is something fragile and artificial construct. Freud asserts that every human being is bisexual at the base.

Indeed, Freud goes even further than that because for him we would all be naturally more or less androgynous (such as snails).

2 / Freud also claims - an idea closely linked to the previous one - that many psychological problems are caused by repressed homosexuality. It is important to note that according to Freud, which is causing psychological problems, it is not homosexuality in itself, but the fact that it is repressed . The logical solution would be to live this homosexuality.

3 / Freud also argues that our "unconscious" contains "unconscious desires", which we do not realize because they are contrary to our values, and that every dream expresses a repressed desire ... even if the dream in question is a nightmare

We have all the ingredients necessary to make a TOC with homosexuality:

1 / The idea that our sexual identity to heterosexual man or woman is superficial, fragile, artificial and constructed;
2 / The idea that we have desires that we do not want to recognize because they bother us;
3 / The idea that our problems are due to repressed homosexuality;
4 / The idea that our dreams are actually the representation of desires.

Mix, shake and serve cold with ice. OCD is ready!

Good ... so now go to step 2.

What used to think (and even to be sure) that Freudian theories, which we take as fact, are really delusional big fibs ?

A number of facts.

1 / Determining the sex of the embryo occurs at fertilization when the sperm enters the egg. So there is no original androgyny. From the beginning, the embryo is either female or male. And at birth, female babies have different sensitivities and behaviors of baby boys (babies boys watch with interest the objects, while baby girls are more connected relationships, and this, from birth.) Science of proved, and although feminists disagree with these reasons for discovery policies, studies exist and are very conclusive. There are many books on the subject.

2 / If, as claimed by Freud, both psychological problems were caused by repressed homosexuality, unconscious, homosexuals who live their homosexuality should logically have less psychological problems than the rest of the population, yet it is the reverse is true. There is a disproportionately high incidence of depression and suicide among people who adopt the homosexual lifestyle.

3 / If, as claimed by Freud, the dream was an expression of desire, we should be delighted when our nightmares come true. At last, this is not the case.

4 / Any desire is or becomes aware very quickly, because by definition we know what we like and what we dislike. There are only zombies who handled completely do not know what they like and what they hate.
The existence of a repressed desire for something or someone is an a priori free - there should be evidence. Freud assumed the existence of unconscious wishes, but never proves it.
Besides assuming latent homosexual tendencies among all heterosexuals, why do we not also imply the latent heterosexual tendencies in all gay? And could we not argue that it is this repressed heterosexuality is the source of their psychological problems? Perhaps they would better about themselves if they lived their heterosexuality in broad daylight ...

There would be many other arguments but this would take too long ...

Now to the third step. Why Freud

he invented a theory that leads people to believe bisexual even when they do not?
Answer: because Freud himself was bisexual ... This was proved by a specialist in Freud's book "Passion for murder. "Freud had a passion for his homosexual NOT platonic great friend Fliess. Some passages in these letters are more than suggestive. This does not prevent him from being married and cheat on his wife's sister it , and do many other things, some of which are frankly disgusting. (imagine the worst and you're there.)

According to a proverb, "the fox wants everybody eats chicken.

Freud, Bisexual, wanted to convince the world that bisexuality was the norm.

Note that Dr. Kinsey is a somewhat similar case that Freud: bisexual, he wanted to convince all of America that bisexuality was more natural as heterosexuality.

UFC 127: Another tie?!?

What I like fighting Ultimate is the simplicity of the concept: you take two fighters who believe that the best one another, you put them together with minimal rules and you expect to see the result. In the 124 first UFC, I think I saw one or two equalities ...

But it's been there twice in three UFC that the main battle, it was expected with more impatience ends with a tie. Twice as judges, who are paid to elect a winner if there are still two guys standing at the end of combat, seem to refuse to do their job. Now, it sucks a tie. For fans, I think it's more annoying than a bad decision again.

After a bad decision, one that was lost, but that should have won, broken back and remade his way through his division. And a return to a fan, it's always wonderful to see.

In contrast, a tie that means we will have to make a rematch . That means nobody moves in rankings by then. For fans, it's frustrating. Waiting for the second fight with a little less impatient. One has the impression of watching a replay ...

In addition, a tie, I think it sends a bad message to the combatants: the message that it is okay to go into a decision. There is no risk. That judges will decide maybe not anyway. Let no one come out with the disappointment of defeat ... but that person does not come out of the cage with his desire to win a victory by tenfold!

I'm afraid it takes a lot of motivation to combatants. And amateurs.

Especially when the fight ended in a tie was flat to watch. Fitch vs. BJ: 10 minutes and wrangle in the closing 5 minutes of domination by Fitch, which unfortunately did not bother to send real shots from the hip and shoulder.

Fortunately, in a previous battle, there was the magnificent kicks Siver Sotiropoulos cons! I am a little disappointed because I wanted to see the jiu-jitsu Sotiropoulos, but hey, this is for another time. Siver and worth seeing!

Sometimes we are surprised, shocked and angry when people find something to say about the AA We can be disturbed to the point of not being able to take advantage criticism, even constructive. Obviously harmony, security and future effectiveness of AA will depend, to a largely maintaining our non-aggressive attitude and even in our peaceful relations with the public. It is a demanding task, because when we drank, we were inclined to be angry, hostile, disobedient, and aggressive. But we are now aware. Therefore I trust that in the conduct of our foreign relations, we will always find the grace to hold us.

My personal formula in this regard is as follows: first, weigh the pros and cons of any situation, praying in the meantime not to be influenced by conditions egocentric. To say that I am willing to do the will of God. Then, having considered the problem this way, if I do not get a conclusive answer or if none appears necessary as the only possible, I expect to be guided, either by being directly inspired either by the being controlled by others or by circumstances.

A Wednesday which started badly

Tuesday evening, I was a little congested. Wednesday I woke up at 6 o'clock with a headache rifle. So I took two Advil and I'm back in bed with the intention to take a day off to rest (I have sick days: Let's serve). First step, sleep until noon ...

7am, the dial of my boyfriend rings. Vincent pops out of bed moaning, go to the bathroom, comes back into the room, turns on the light (ouch, my sleepy eyes!) And asked me to look at the back of his throat. Finding: his uvula has doubled in size.

Darling so share towards the clinic, call the office to say that I not come and I go back to bed, determined to sleep until my boyfriend checks out to be meanders of our health system ...

An hour later, the sound of the garage door wakes me up. Cheri is back with a tank barge worse antibiotics, a work stoppage of three days and diagnosed with acute pharyngitis. Worse me j'viens make me wake up 3 times in 3 hours. Damn dodo. Fortunately, the headache is not wrong.

So I get up, I have lunch, I make a latte, I crush me in my pajamas on my couch, I turn Bibitte ...

And there I discovered an email from Elizabeth Vonarburg informing me that the literary director of young adult novel is finished!

Excited as can be, so I took one hour to indicate where figures should be inserted in the final text, and then I wrote my bio, my dedication, a first version of the summary ... And I sent it to the editor! :)

Yep, this time it's true: my work is finished for me.

Next Step: Wait. Wait for suggestions for short, wait for the first test layouts, wait for the printed books ...

Whoa! I can not believe that the novel just released in August! I'm dying of impatience by then! lol Or, more likely, I am going to believe I dreamed the whole story ...

Anyway, for a day that began rather ugly, it ended well for me! :) For darling ... well we bought him ice cream, it will help his throat until the drugs take effect.

(Oh, and bonus gifts for me, it looks like I'll save my darling pharyngitis. The rest day had preventive help:)

It depends on us and our motives. Prayer and crucifix

I do not know if you've managed not to hear the case of the mayor of Saguenay was told by the Court of Human Rights to stop praying before council and remove the crucifix from the boardroom? Yes? Lucky! And have you managed to avoid both the positions taken by politicians in the City of Montreal and our dear Prime Mouton subjects crucifixes from their meeting rooms? Yes? Coudonc, you were on vacation last week ...

Anyway, all that to say that I think the court made a decision fairly debatable, thank you.

they force the mayor to stop imposing a period of prayer, I agree completely. Prayer is a religious act. It occupies a range time and force even people who do not participate in the meet, then, can we argue, they are indirectly involved. So I'm all for its abolition in all political demonstrations and in all public spaces.

By cons, where I have more difficulty is with the fucking crucifix. The crucifix is an object. Ugly symbol of a religion and a value system outdated, but hey, if you are truly secular and atheist, it's just a piece of decoration. It's not worse than kitsch still life (besides, we usually find the two together in the salons of the grandmothers ...) or a baroque chandelier.

Moreover, it applies to Christmas trees, rabbit legs, candlesticks with multiple branches, the statues of Buddha, etc.. Objects, decorations. The cultural, if you want. Aesthetics. Yes, yes, can be used in a religious framework. But can also stay nicely in his corner. Which is not required. These objects are usually kept out of habit. So let cities habits, those who are well exceeded disappear by itself when you decide to change the carpet!

This difference between the act and object, as for me it's worth the veil too. Veiled woman, ok, if it holds and that the safety of all permits. It is a symbol that I dislike, but I no longer painted nails, so ... But the fact of not showing his face before a man when necessary: oh no then. It is the border between the symbol and act.

A border that is often taken in recent times, but always in the same direction: it allows actions to non-Catholics, but was removed from all the Christian materials. I think those who are crying foul are absolutely right.

Now the easiest way to resolve the problem might be to prohibit acts and symbols in any public sphere, but our Prime Mouton's too afraid of wolves, er, sorry, voters, for that!

Also, do we really want to live in a world where it has banned all symbols?

AA benign anarchy and democracy

When we enter AA, we find an individual liberty more than any other company. We can not be forced to do anything. In this sense, our association is a benign anarchy. For most of us the word 'anarchy' sounds bad. But I think the idealist who has supported this concept, the first thought that if all men had ever enjoyed full freedom and had been compelled to obey anyone, they would have united themselves This in the common interest. AA are, relatively speaking, a company of this kind.
But when we had to take action to act as a group - we discovered that we had also become a democracy. Gradually, as our veterans retired, we started to elect, by majority, our faithful servants. All action plans of the group had to be approved by a majority. This meant that nobody could identify himself to act on behalf of the group or association of AA itself. Neither dictatorship nor paternalism will suit us.

After work, I go to the pharmacy so that I found the display of batteries and there, lost in AA and AAA, I found a watch battery. I ride home, I managed to open my watch (which I am consecrated mass, because it is not obvious) and ...

Damn! This is not the right size battery!

Sighing, I say, well, I realize I'll bring my watch to the jeweler. I put the box up, I put the watch on a folded towel and I agree to close it properly ...

Crac.

just that, a small "crack". Hmm ... The case is not even completely in place. I returned my watch.

Glass peatedly.

Arrrggggg! I loved this show!

Moral of the story: take your jewelry to the jeweler!

Seeing is believing

almost childlike faith in the Wright brothers the opportunity to build a flying machine was the mainspring of their success. Without faith, nothing would have happened.
However, we agnostics and atheists, we remain committed to the idea that our resources allow us to solve our problems. Also, when others made us see that God's help they were healthy, we found ourselves in the position of those who claimed that the Wright brothers did not steal.
We attended a different flight: the people who escaped spiritually in the way of the world and managed to rise above their problems.

Defending Lincoln Michael Connelly

Ok, first observation: do not confuse Connolly and Connelly. One is a superstitious Irishman who does not seem to know what kind he writes and the other is quite a writer!

I must admit that after having devoured Connelly for years, any time I were tired. The American have a nice feather in hell (he has already won a Pulitzer), as a writer of detective has its codes and revenue that ultimately shine through the best scenes strung and spoil the pleasure of reading.

Well, then, after a long break, I was ready to read everything with new eyes when I opened defense Lincoln. Especially that I qualify for a new character, the lawyer Mickey Haller, instead of the perennial cop Harry Bosch. In this novel, Haller, defense lawyer accustomed to small business, finally finds himself defending a rich client, but what seemed like a good case proves otherwise ...

Okay, I admit, I expected that the lawyer makes me think Haller counsel Grisham: an idealist, as straight as straight as, with respect to the heart of JUSTICE ... What was pleasantly surprised by my knowledge of Haller, a man without illusions scrupulously respects the letter of the law and who is involved only the interests of its customers, leaving the moral judgments to others. This is not mixing: the lawyer is so realistic that I think well have crossed once or twice in the office! lol! ;)

The novel is conducted at a normal pace Connelly: it starts slowly, then the tension builds, shorter chapters, the pages turn by themselves and it ends up at 1 o'clock in the morning with eyes that hardly hold open, devouring the last 20 pages because it is not about to go to bed without knowing how it ends!

short, I loved it! :) Here it is just that I'll keep me and I do not buy immediately Connelly 4 or 5 others in the hope of finding the same pleasure of reading. I know that if I put her novels, I enjoy less, because I'm going to start decoding them too easily.

Although ... I can certainly read before a second phenomenon that catches up to me ...;)

True and false ambitions

We saw a lot clearer in ourselves and understood that we were spurred on by fear and irrational anxiety that encouraged us to spend our whole life chasing Fame, money and what we thought was the role of leader. The false pride became the flip side of that ruinous coin called "Fear." We absolutely had become the first in everything to hide our deep inferiority.
***
The real aim is not what we thought it was. True ambition is the deep desire to live usefully, advancing in humility, backed by the grace of God.

Shadow Prey by John Connolly

Digest Summary: A child psychiatrist

disappeared for five years. Abused children that followed fell back into the hell of rape. The doctor had gone there something to do with it? A grieving father, a former hitman, seems to think. Detective Charlie Parker arrive there to solve the mystery before the corpses from accumulating?

Answer: No, of course. It's going to be dead, the detective is suspected for some murders, the wicked will be punished and all this old history will finally be avenged. Until then, no surprise: it is a classic novel of investigation and well done.

Unfortunately, there are also some passages in the story flirts with fantastic to me frankly annoyed. The supernatural manifestations are too obvious to the pragmatic that I am merely say "Oh, yes, there are unexplainable phenomena in life." But they are not crazy enough to satisfy the reader of fantasy. In short, I liked that the author connects. He writes of the policeman or not?

This indecision has ruined my great pleasure to read and I remembered that it was this mixture of genres that made me stay away from the author for several years. However, if you're the type to believe in ghosts and tables that hit and you do not already know Connoly, I highly recommend it.

Our companions

Today, most of us welcome any discoveries about the mysterious and baffling disease of alcoholism. We welcome any new valuable knowledge, whether from laboratory work, experience of the psychiatrist or a sociological survey revealing. We welcome any measure making educationally that informs the public accurately and changes its attitude toward the secular alcoholic.
Increasingly, we consider those who work across the field of alcoholism as companions on our journey from darkness to light. We find we can accomplish together what we could never achieve in isolation or rivalry.

LACK OF REAL SALT: one of the most common causes as the easiest to correct depression

you've never heard of, is not it? ...
can not imagine a more simple and more stupid: being depressed because you do not eat enough salt!

Yes but you say, "do not eat too sweet nor too salty" ...
all depends on what we talk about salt.

the (many) research has been conducted on the harmful salt were all on the white salt, refined, which is a version of the extremely impoverished and distorted real crude salt, which is itself rich in many minerals and has no negative effects of white salt .

And (many) research that showed that the salt is combined with a sufficient quantity of water not only very necessary for survival, but necessary for good health and emotional balance, all have brought about crude salt, or seawater

Salt is a natural antidepressant which has no side effects . If you take
lithium, you would do better to replace the crude salt. In other words: salt your food without scruple or remorse.

A low-salt diet has a devastating impact on physical health (4 times as many heart attack) ... and moral.

A diet rich in crude salt (and water) has numerous advantages: it protects against

parasites, cancer, cough, asthma;
it promotes good sleep;
it regulates serotonin and dopamine ;
it promotes weight loss (eat less when you eat more salty);
it is detoxifying and the fight against the effects aging;
it de-acidified body;
it prevents osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, double-chin (yes!)
he treats diabetes (of course, you also remove the sugar),
ETC.

Conclusion: for your physical and mental health, season generously with salt your food and drink GROSS more water (this will come naturally to the extent that salt makes you thirsty).

You will wear better and feel better.

To learn more about the benefits of raw salt, and water drunk in quantity, you can read

Quinton: Serum Life Jean-Claude Rodet and Maxence Layet
(The "Quinton" is quite simply the seawater salt .. and the real is nothing other than sea water dried. To make your own "quinton" to a ridiculous price, drink more water and eat more raw salt.)

Curious Valentine

What always strikes me with Valentine's Day is the fact that singles will attach much more importance than longtime lover.

longtime couples I know do not care a bit about Valentine's Day. Some will offer flowers, to make a romantic dinner, but in general for them on Valentine's Day is just another day in the year ... and their relationship probably would not have lasted so long if they had waited 14 February to prove their love or take time for them.

For singles by cons, what an ordeal that Valentine's Day! There's hearts everywhere, the world seems to laugh in your singleness, your friends will be busy couple tonight then ... but, fortunately, the bars hosting parties for singles, your single friends are preparing a group dinner, dating sites offer discounts ... In short, everyone manages to make you feel very lonely, but we offer you support in the race with a little bit of money ...

In fact, I feel that the only people who seem really celebrate Valentine's bottom and joy (and the expense, but hey ...), it is young couples, who still remember how bitter they felt depressed that day there during their years of celibacy! lol!

Do you feel the same? Is that for you, the festival of chocolate boxes heart-shaped, it is important or not?

Acceptance daily

I spent too much time in my life to dwell on the faults of others. It is a form of subtle and most perverted of our vanity that we can stay comfortably in ignorance of our own faults. Too often we hear: "Without him (or her) as I would have been happy! "
***
Our first problem is to accept our present state as it is, ourselves as we are and those around us as they are. We adopt as a realistic humility without which no real progress can not even begin. And this is the starting point, unflattering, that we must consciously return. This is an exercise in acceptance that the practice may be useful to us every day of our lives. Only insofar as we can avoid, with all our might, to transform these findings into realistic excuses to justify smoking apathy or defeatism, they can be the basis for development of our welfare emotional and, therefore, spiritual progress can be accomplished.
