UFC 127: Another tie?!?
What I like fighting Ultimate is the simplicity of the concept: you take two fighters who believe that the best one another, you put them together with minimal rules and you expect to see the result. In the 124 first UFC, I think I saw one or two equalities ...
But it's been there twice in three UFC that the main battle, it was expected with more impatience ends with a tie. Twice as judges, who are paid to elect a winner if there are still two guys standing at the end of combat, seem to refuse to do their job. Now, it sucks a tie. For fans, I think it's more annoying than a bad decision again.
After a bad decision, one that was lost, but that should have won, broken back and remade his way through his division. And a return to a fan, it's always wonderful to see.
In contrast, a tie that means we will have to make a rematch . That means nobody moves in rankings by then. For fans, it's frustrating. Waiting for the second fight with a little less impatient. One has the impression of watching a replay ...
In addition, a tie, I think it sends a bad message to the combatants: the message that it is okay to go into a decision. There is no risk. That judges will decide maybe not anyway. Let no one come out with the disappointment of defeat ... but that person does not come out of the cage with his desire to win a victory by tenfold!
I'm afraid it takes a lot of motivation to combatants. And amateurs.
Especially when the fight ended in a tie was flat to watch. Fitch vs. BJ: 10 minutes and wrangle in the closing 5 minutes of domination by Fitch, which unfortunately did not bother to send real shots from the hip and shoulder.
Fortunately, in a previous battle, there was the magnificent kicks Siver Sotiropoulos cons! I am a little disappointed because I wanted to see the jiu-jitsu Sotiropoulos, but hey, this is for another time. Siver and worth seeing!
